We are incredibly proud to announce that Mindy Henry (née Melamed) will be officially taking over as our new Store Manager, effective this past Monday, June 1st, 2026.
As the daughter of our President and Owner, Jamie Melamed, Mindy is stepping into this leadership role to continue a very proud legacy. Zelikovitz Leathers has been a family-owned and operated business since 1890, and we are absolutely thrilled to see the next generation carry this 136-year tradition forward!
Mindy is certainly no stranger to the business. Over the past few years, she has dedicated herself to learning Zelikovitz Leathers from the ground up, working hands-on in shipping, production, retail, marketing, and administration. Her comprehensive understanding of how our company runs makes her uniquely equipped for this role.
Growing up with a crafting father, Mindy has been surrounded by creativity her entire life. She developed a strong, lifelong passion for all crafts from an early age and is an avid beader herself. Because she shares the same love for making things by hand as our wonderful customers, she truly understands the heart of our crafting community.
We know that our team, our values, and our store will be in excellent hands under her guidance.
