A 5-strand mystery braid is a type of leather braiding technique where all strands are connected at both ends. It gets its "mystery" name from the seemingly impossible way it's braided, with strands moving around each other in a way that appears complex. The braid is created by repeatedly moving the outer strands to the center, then untangling the braid, and repeating the process, creating a unique interwoven pattern.
