Discover the beautiful art of traditional beadwork in this hands-on, two-part workshop! Perfect for beginners, this class will guide students through the process of creating a finished beaded leather keychain from start to finish.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of single needle flat stitch beading while creating a floral motif on leather. In the second session, students will complete their project by learning professional finishing techniques, including backing, edging, and assembly.
By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a completed beaded keychain and the foundational skills needed to continue exploring beadwork on their own.
What You'll Learn
Day 1 – Beading Fundamentals
- Attaching a pattern to leather
- Single needle flat stitch beading techniques
- Creating a floral beaded design
Day 2 – Finishing Your Project
- Creating the backing "sandwich"
- Single or picket beaded edging techniques
- Adding a keyring and completing the project

Beginner-friendly – no prior beading experience required.
Important Registration Information
This workshop is designed as a two-part series, with skills learned in the first session building directly into the second. To ensure students can successfully complete their project, registration includes and requires attendance at both sessions. Single-session registrations are not available.
